Troostwijk
In 1930 Troostwijk Groep B.V. was established as a small family business in the Netherlands. Originally specialized in auction trading, today the group is known as an independent and owner-managed international appraiser. In the Netherlands the group belongs to the leading companies for the valuation of real estate and industrial equipment; furthermore the group is the market leader in loss assessment (e.g. fire, explosion, casualties).
After Troostwijk completed the disposal of its auction business by the end of the 1990s and lately (2007) of the estate agency Troostwijk Makelaars O.G. to Jones Lang LaSalle, the focus is only on the appraisal activity today.
Over the recent years Troostwijk’s core business of valuation has experienced a dynamic growth resulting in a number of international participations. Troostwijk’s international partners by analogy with Roux Deutschland are autonomous, independent units which operate in accordance with their countries’ business specifics.
By the end of 2007 Troostwijk had approx. 230 employees in three locations (Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Groningen).
In March 2007 the Nyenrode Business University has appointed Dr. Aart C. Hordijk MRICS as Professor of Real Estate Valuations. The new chair is facilitated by the Troostwijk Groep. |
